Our Goal
Our goal is to encourage lasting relationships for our students and equip them with an understanding of how a relationship with Jesus is essential to everyday life. We would love to have you be a part of every Sunday night… So come check it out!
What to Expect
When you come for youth group on Sunday nights you'll be greeted by both students and leaders to make you feel more comfortable. The atmosphere is casual and informal. There is always a fun activity going on at the start to help everyone meet new people. Whether its dodge ball, volleyball, or kickball its always high energy and engaging! Come hungry because we always have dinner together too!
Every Sunday, 6-8th grade meets at CATEC during the second
service at 10:00am and 9-12th grade meets at cfa from 6:00-7:30pm for:
- Games and fun!
- Large group teaching that applies Biblical truth to student's everyday lives.
- Small groups based on age and gender
- Adult leaders who are passionate about connecting with our students

Activities
Our youth ministry provides all of our students with the opportunity to fellowship and enjoy hanging out with other teens. We believe that group activities are awesome avenues to help our students be themselves among other teens and have a great time in a safe environment. These activities are important to our students as this is their avenue for inviting their friends.
Here are some of the group activities we do at cfa:
- Concerts
- Putt-Putt Nights
- Dinners
- Conferences and Camps

Serving Others
One of cfa's core values is "Serving Others". We look for ways our students can help others by getting involved in ministry at cfa and in our community at large. We believe that this is how we can help our teens understand what it means to be a servant-leader. Whether by helping out with Kids Church, greeting on Sunday morning, playing on the worship team or serving at Connection point, these are all amazing ways for students to discover and build upon their leadership abilities.
We also like to provide opportunities for our students to see the world through Jesus' eyes by serving on missions teams that travel outside of Charlottesville and at times outside the United States, giving them a much greater perspective.
We believe that serving is a key part of worship. We encourage all of our students to plug into ministries where they can best use their gifts.
